Accelerator linkage

While fooling with my clutch linkage under the dash I checked out my accel. linkage and found that I had almost 3/4" clearance at the throttle valve lever - the manual says that the clearance should be 1 mm. Where would you adjust the linkage to shorten the throw and reduce the clearance to 1mm at the throttle body?
