I have the long knob which is silver on a Wevo lever which is black. The shifter alone will change the way you look at and drive a 915 tranny.

Shifter.
It will also be much easier to install than the gateshift kit, which requires dropping the transmission/motor. I've got the black shifter with long silver knob. As above, it's tremendous. If you can, stretch to upgrade your motor/tranny mounts, and shift coupler too. The three together are a dream.

You don't have to drop the engine or tranny to add the gate shift kit. A lift will make it easier.
