How many spades for a Later Model Starter Question
In the process of selling my old 2.7L, I let the starter go with the deal. I wanted to buy a newer or later model. However, now that I am installing the 3.2L in my car I am wondering about the satrater. I am trading some parts for a starter adn I wondering if the correct one for the 3.2 is a two spade or tab plug in or a one spade plug in? or does it matter? I know one of the spades goes to the starter, but not sure if the other is necessary for a motronic system?
Thanks, Mark |

Mark,
The second Faston tab and switch contacts were added to the Bosch SR-68 starter solenoid for the '78 model SCs for the cold-start valve circuit. It was never used on the 3.2 Motronic engines. The only two solenoid terminals you need to worry about are #30 to the battery and alternator B+ lead, and #50 to the ignition switch.
