two quick questions for my ~79 911 SC
In 1979 did my SC come standard with non pop-out 1/4 windows? or did the previous owner somewhere along the way change out to non-pop-outs?
I have seen some very nice custom work on the backs of 911's. Where there is small circles around the tail lights and blinkers, and the rest is color matched to the car. and that long reflectotr below the deck lid that says P O R S C H E is instead replaced with a color matched piece.--How is this done? |

'79 SC's came with fixed windows. Early style pop-outs can be fitted to your car and many threads exist on how to do it.
The taillights you are speaking of are RSR-type and can be fitted, generally as after market pieces. (EDIT: Opps, Noah is correct) The rear reflector is usually painted to body color for that look. There is talk about fiberglass pieces being made/existing to replace the reflector but I do not know if that ever became a production piece.

Thom (widebody911) makes a CF piece that replaces the reflector.
