Is there a window stop tech article someplace?
So is there a tech article on how to adjust the window stops....my cabriolet has the windows go up to far....

Not sure if your much newer car is the same, but the main vertical stop is located in the upper-middle portion of the door, like this (sorry the pic is kinda big). That's the only vertical stop I'm aware of, but then there are the "tilt" adjustments on the front and back rails, which are all crucial for proper sealing esp on Cabs & Targas. I tried to just eyeball mine until I got a decent setting but if anybody has a more scientific method I'd like to hear it. ![]() |

Thanks....is that a manual or electric window? My 83 is a lot different from the 70s Porsche that I last had....anyone have any hints on panel removal.....I need to get a manual on this car....but I am holding out on the Bentley....if it ever gets released...

Manual windows. I suspect the electrics have some kind of electric stop, maybe a microswitch? They probably also have the physical stop for the regulator itself too, which I'd bet is similar for all 911s.
You're right about the panel removal too. It's a hassle (although very simple) on the 70. Not sure about yours, sorry. |
