Yeah, they look tapered but there not. PH is closed for the holidays until Jan 2nd.

I'll say it again...Danny_Ocean...there are no "Grade 8" metric fasteners .... I think you mean property class 10.9 or even 12.9....

The lowest commonly available metric grade is grade/"property class" 8 (for nuts, 8.8 for bolts) which is approx Grade 5 in SAE I believe.

It wouldn't surprise me if wheel lug nuts were grade/"property class" 8's. That would still be stronger than the aluminum alloy nuts that came standard.

For whatever it's worth, these nuts have a marking on the back. "J" on the top and the number "8" on the bottom.
