Replacing spacer Lug Nuts.
I'd like to replace my lug nuts that attach the spacer to my hub. I'm not sure who makes the spacer or the lug nuts. Can I pick these up at Home Depot or any auto parts store? They are M14x1.5 and the socket head is 22mm. They can't be too tall or else they won't allow the wheel to sit flush.
Thanks, ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No on HD. Check out your local nut/bolt supply house. Make sure you get Grade 8, minimum.
P.S. - That's not a spacer, it's an adapter. |

most spacers take a acorn style lug. take a picture of the spacer without a nut in it. if it is tappered where the nut sits it needs a acorn nut. if it is flat then you can use a regular nut.

Paul,
Not to concern you if it's not necessary BUT I have similar spacers but mine are held on by steel acorn lugnuts. Are you sure they are flat sided? Why do you want to replace them anyway? EDIT: Let me ask that a different way. Is the area that the nut sits in dished? It looks as though it is in your pictures. If so, you need acorn nuts.

Yeah, flat sided. I just checked them. Take a look at the nuts too, they are flat also.
Theyve built up crud on them and thought it would be good to replace them since there cheap and I have both spacer/adapters off. I guess i don't really have to. I certainly won't go searching all around town to find them. |

Cool.
Good insurance to replace them while removed. Be sure to torque them down correctly, 91 ft lbs.

Yeah, I will. Here's a pic of the adapter. It's hard to tell but it is indeed flat.

I'd replace them while you have them off.
I'd use all metal lock nuts in that application instead of nylocks. -Chris

Paul-
Give a call to Parts Heaven. I bet they have exactly what you need. I think they are open this week. |
