As more recent literature has pointed out, that entire paragraph (not just the above sentence quoted from it) is full of inaccuracies. Not that that makes the 959 any more technologically significant, though. Always interesting to read stuff from "in the day." Maybe that's why a lot of us hang on to old car mags.
