| Somatic Negative Optimist | Distributor # 0 237 303 003 from what engine?
Supposedly from an SC but, the numbers don't match. SC distributors '78-'83 show different numbers. I tried Bosch USA site without success. For what engine is Bosch distributor # 0 237 303 003 ?? Any help?

Gunter: You can call Bosch's customer service line and ask for a tech. They will be happy to give you the info.

Gunter: That's the number on my Euro 3.1 liter ignition distributor. No vacuum advance or retard.

Thanks everyone. I called Bosch and the Tech said the number comes up as a distributor but no other details as to year or type. Going by your replies, it seems to be a Euro without vacuum. What is the difference between a Euro and US other than the missing vacuum? Most likely a different curve?

Can anyone give me the timing specs for the aforementioned dizzy? It is on my euro 78 sc. The bentley only gives me specs for the one with vacuum.

What's the Bosch number on it? How did you set the timing up to now? Was/is the distributor cleaned and lubed? Trigger plate moving freely?

Thanks Jason, I have that website; good stuff but..........................to be sure that he has the right distributor for his engine, I'd go by the Bosch number on it. Specs on the website are in German but I don't see anything about timing or curve for Euro '78?
