Identification Of Material

I have found some kind of Putty Material Between the Fenders and the Body . It is a Gray Material

Can someone tell me what's this ?





As you can see I have some rust Issues.

Looks to be black strip (or ribbon) caulk/putty. More info...

The fender packing is also know as Terostat ribbon 2mm thick x 25mm wide, sold by the meter; the Porsche part number is 00004312900 or Pelican U-043-129-00. Pelican lists it for $27.75. When I ordered it from the Porsche parts system I recieved a roll which was significantly more than a meter in length; plenty to do a car maybe enough for two cars."
