how to fix OEM short shift kit

hello, i had a OEM short shift kit installed by a porsche shop on my 74 911. the throw is not much different from before. can i fix this myself. please help. thank you.

There is nothing adjustable about the throws in shift kits. The geometry is fixed. All you adjust is the usual in the usual way back at the shift coupler, and that is just so you can get into the gears.

The side to side motion does not change with the factory RSR short shift. Which is a good thing. But the front to back motion definitely will change. Unless, of course, someone had already put a shift kit in before you bought the car.
