"If nominated I'll decline, if elected I will not serve..."
Guess what I learned in my history class!
"If nomiated I'll decline, if elected I will not serve..." -Al Gore Just thought I'd share. Oh, btw this is at a high school... (Kinda funny huh?) Now don't start a war over this, just sharing... Ahmet ------------------ It's all the driver... |

Yeah, but that was for the President of the "Break Dancing Club", so I understand his position.

Which reminds me, how many of my supposed Pelican Poster "friends" are actually democrats?

Kurt...being retired Air Force I'm just biding my time! Soon I'll be able to invest in General Dynamics, Boeing, and who knows even Vought might make a comeback!!! And no offense to any gender challenged folks out there but one troop per sleeping bag!

I, like Ferdinand Porsche the first, am apolitical. Ol' Ferdinand it seems, was made an honorary SS officer by Adolph for his war machinery contributions and was given a uniform but never wore it. Not even in front of Hitler himself! Now that takes a set of brass ones! He just had no interest whatsoever in polotics. That's what the ******* French finally figured out and eventually released him from prison in, I think, 1948? So, taking example from my hero, I'll leave the partisan bickering to those of you who think one party knows it all. Oh, and just to clear things up. It was F. Porsche I who designed the beatle. F. Porsche II who designed the 356. F.A. Porsche (Butzi) who designed the 911. It just really bugs me when people refer to them all as the same person.

Tyson, very well said.
This is a forum about some really excellent cars. Since the tenor of American politics will certainly never rise to the level of a well-cared-for 911 at speed, we'd all do well to stop burdening these discussions with petty partisan tirades. (And I should clarify: this particular thread isn't very bad. But there have been a number of these kinds of posts, lately.) I don't care if you're Democrats or Rebublicans, guys. As long as we're all driving and working on 911s, we should just leave it at that. The political stuff belongs on a forum that's actually devoted to politics. ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe [This message has been edited by JackOlsen (edited 12-01-2000).] |

I agree with all the posts, but we all know that Al Gore invented the Internet, the Electoral College, probably the presidency and without question... Porsche's. Ferdinand who????
Have a wonderful holiday season. I better be careful... Al Gore invented the holidays. |
