Rennshift question

Does the rennshift shifter center it's self between 3rd and 4th like the Wevo? I read where the Wevo does this but can't find anything on the Rennshift.
thanks
Just trying to clean up the SC, no race or track use now.

Do a search as I think there are few posts where users have had both. I have the rennshift, just installed it about 2 months ago and it's awesome! I have had the stock shifter, a welt ss and now this, and it made all the difference in the world. Very easy to install, but to get right it took me a few hours of driving/tweaking.

Just put a rennshifter in mine, great feel and it centers fine and the tension is adjustable along with the shift length and solid adjustable stops. see a theme here? it's fully adjustable! The stock unit is not. great feel from one shift to the next, almost jumps into the next gear! It does not, unfortunately, fix my old syncros ....

If you're springing for the Rennshift or Wevo, you should definitely also get the PSJ shift coupling to go along with them.

So true, It changed shifting like I could not believe, but based on how old my trany is (org) sometime it feels like I'm trying to put a square peg through a round hole when putting ino first. No shifter will fix that.

Why? What are the benefits of switching?

Coupler ends sloppy shifting caused by worn (and even new) factory couplers.
Why spend all that money on a precision shifter and not upgrade the coupler?

X2.

There's also the Stomski coupler which accomplishes the same thing.

I purchased my Rennshift shifter (3) 911's ago and have moved it from car to car as I've moved on to different 911's. It's fantastic!

I put a wevo shift coupler in first a much better unit than stock, even the rebuilt or new stock unit has tons of slop. the wevo or rennshift or PSJ coupler helped out alot 0 play in these units. That and a good shifter is the only way to go.

Rennshift here, and only wish I had done it sooner. Plus, you can add a longer shift handle if you wish. A nice plus for even more adjustability.

Definitely go with a new aftermarket shift coupler as mentioned above. I got my Renshift working ok with the stock coupler, but when I switched to the aftermarket it was even better.

I have the Rennshifter and love it. I have the side spring tension set high with 2 washers each side which really centers things comming from 5th. I dont know if the wevo has tension adjustments or not in this area. Setup was a breeze, just put the car in 3rd gear, swap out the shifters and Viola!
