Project '71 911T Update
Finally I started again on my '71 911T. Below are some pictures of the work I did so far.
I disassembled the sunroof and motor and all the hardware, and I'm thinking welding the sunroof part in. I would cut out the sheet metal which is on the inside so I can install a normal head liner. Did anyone do a conversion like this ? and is there anything I need to know? I try to avoid any leak problems later, and since I want to build this one for autocross, I don't need the sunroof. Thanks for any feedback ! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170989900.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170989928.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170989952.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170989973.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170989994.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1170990015.jpg http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat6.gif Cheers |

Ditto on "qualified"! Keep the pics coming! Would love to know what the particulars on your project are (engine, suspension, flares, etc.)? Also, what part of Virginia are you in? I'm in the Richmond area.

This may be a dumb question but what kind of welder are you using?

rothaus -
I also have a green '71. My color is Signal Green which, therefore, is The One True Green. Conda green is slightly brighter and has a bit more yellow in it. Can't really tell from the photo which you have, but most likely it's Conda. Signal Green was a factory special order color - I've been driving my car for almost 34 years and have only seen one other, so it's rather rare. Edit to add link.
