easy way to remove replace of turn signal

hello, all. would like to know if there is a trick in removing and installing turn signal on my 74. or, i just take a hack at it and go with the flow. do i need to worry about anything i.e. breaking or cracking something on steering column. please help. thanks in advance.

Remove horn button
Remove steering wheel
Remove plastic column cover
Remove turn signal switch.

BTW, there is a thread here somewhere showing how to repair the high beam lowbeam problem by bending the contacts if thats your problem. Tried searching but I can't find it right now.

yes, i have been trying to post my car pics. it kept rejecting because it's more than 100k. so, i don't know how else to post it. i tried to save it as jpeg to lower the filesize. it's still more than 100k. any ideas? my current format is bmp. thanks.

If you haven't already done so, suggest you consider installing headlight relays to prevent the high/low beam problem once you have it fixed. The easiest way is to install the relay kit sold by Marcos Sucros which can be ordered / seen here:
