timing chain replacement
OK...!"/$%?&*...I am in the process to replace both timing chain on my 3.2...Left side is done...no problem there...On the right side, I linked the new chain to the old one and turned the crankshaft to feed it...No problems...I was almost at the end of the process...just to engage the master link...and the !"/$%?&* chain slipped off the intermediate shaft sprocket...I am probably not the first one to do that...so...How can I put back that chain at the right place on the intermediate shaft sprocket...??? Please...Help...!

What procedure were you using to replace the chains? Please explain in detail. It's important (IMHO) since you do not have the benefit of the strainer access.

Did that once,
The engine came out, Cam chain housing removed, Fished around with a coat hanger, wire, string, fed the chain around the sprocket and turned the engine by hand over. Pain in the butt!

Read this:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_carrera_chain_tensioners/911_chain_replacement.htm Notice where he made a flexible plastic tool. You might be able to use this tool to get the chain back on the intermediate sprocket. If not, you may be able to use the tool in reverse and pull the chain back, reset everything, and start over.
