I’ve seen other shades of green posted here, but don’t believe anyone has added lime green yet or metallic green or my soon to arrive Gemini Blue early long hood. Just love the vibrancy of the 70’s colors!

1983 SC Cabriolet in "Platin"
This has to be the most unusual color 911 I have ever seen. It belongs to a friend of mine who purchased it a couple of years ago after it had sat in disuse for quite a few years. It is back on the road and has been repainted in this same color to correct the paint (mainly clear coat) issues you can easily see on the hood. During the repaint the tail was also removed; big improvement in my opinion. They just don't look right on Cabs and Targas (personal opinion).
The history of the car is spotty, but it was a european car that was brought over, spent a lot of it's life in Texas before coming to Tennessee. The P/O had a vanity plate "DATEB8," which sort of explains why he had it. The paint color is "Platin," and the Porsche paint code is 971-9-3. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508879929.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1508879929.JPG |
