What a great way to decide if one were to need color chip examples for a color change or custom. Mine will stay Minerva but the next one???http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1253626733.jpg

Not a good shot to really show off the color, but Ice Green Mettalic was a special order for '77.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1253626807.jpg

Never mind. It's the same car! Guess you (MassGuy) sold it many moons ago and I've recently acquired it.

The rear has 2, the front has 4. The rear takes about 10 seconds to remove, the front takes a bit longer because of the turnsignals and brake ducting... maybe 2 minutes tops.

Kinda makes me sad...every contemporary Porsche I see seems to be black, white, silver, or some shade of gray.

That's what I noticed when I was looking for mine. One of the things I looked for was a 'colour'. I didn't want those non-colours like black, silver or white. Or guards red, for that matter. The Marine Blue that I have is rather dark and some might say sober, but it's a real colour. In the bright sunlight it jumps out at you, and in evening sun, it almost looks greenish.

I am surprised to not see a Lagoon Green metallic (L35Y) example here yet- I think it was a relatively rare and short-lived color, but I know that there are a couple of other Pelicans who share the color with my Targa. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1253659961.jpg

I think Aventurine is fairly rare, at least as much so as some others posted. It really changes looks depending on light.
