"Discovered" an added benefit of Sway-A-Way adjustible spring plates?

I installed Sway-A-Way adjustable spring plates when I put Elephant Racing poly-bronze bushings and monoballs on a while back. I'm upgrading to 22/29mm torsion bars, so I was anticipating having to disconnect the spring plates from the trailing arms as part of the process, and the subsequent alignment.

As I got into it today, it dawned on my that the two-piece design of these spring plates will all the splined portion to come off, keeping the portion that mounts to the banana arm intact, as well as the camber and toe settings.

This should allow me to re-index the t-bars to account for the thicker material without totally destroying my toe and camber settings.

I'm going to go to adjustable sways a little later in the year, so I'll wait to re-do my alignment and corner balance at that time. Just an FYI for folks looking at the change to the Sway-A-Ways.

Maybe this has been noted before, but it was welcome news to me.

Welcome to the wonderful world of SAW adj. spring plates. Wait till you do your corner balance, it just gets better.

That ties into their main function that I originally bought them for, which is the ease of adjustment. This was an added benefit, not having to yank half of the rear end off to re-index the new t-bars.
