How to ID real Fuchs
OK, I have a feeling this may be an easy one for some people...
What's the easiest way to ID real Fuchs ? Simply by the part number stamped in ? What is the part number for 7x15 Fuchs ? Is there a specific offset on some 7x15 Fuchs for early cars without much fender flare ? I've run 7x15 Cookie Cutters for a few years now with no problem.

When I got a PPI the mechanic took some brake cleaner and showed me the inside of the rim. I remember there is a part number and a little triangle with, I think, a little fox in it. Those were 16 inch wheels. Not sure if it applies across the board.

There's a fox head and a part number and a size all stamped on the inside.

It can definitely take some cleaning and looking to find if there is a fair amount of gunk on the inside of the wheel.

I've always just went with the triangle and number stamp. If they are there they are Fuchs.
Where there ever fakes that attempted to fake this id as well?

As far as the other questions regarding the 7x15" Fuchs, all the 911.361.020.41 part number Fuchs have the same 23.3mm offset as the 7x15" cookie cutter wheels, so they are interchangeable. Market value depends on condition, but average wheels are going for $200-300 each in that size. Restored or very good condition wheels bring more $$$. TT
