70-71 T Clutch Release Arm Pivot Bolt Loose

Hi. After many fruitless hours adjusting the Bowden Cable , skinned knuckes and head scratching - I finally discovered the reason I lost all clutch action was that the clutch release fork pivot bolt has come loose.

I have spent the last three nights trying to tighten it through the release fork aperture in the engine casing - but it seems nigh on impossible to get enough angular rotation to turn the pivot bolt around to reposition the wrench in the next flat (if you can follow my poor description).

Qn: Are there any tricks of the trade, or special tools that I can use ? If not - is it safe to generate a little extra working room by grinding some of the casing away to widen the aperture just a little - or do I have to get someone to split the engine and transmission to tighten the bolt ?

Mongoose-
I have what might prove to be a dumb idea. I understand your comment about angularity and the wrench flats. What if you found a wrench that was a slightly different angle? Do you think that you might be able to tighten the bolt by alternating between two different wrenches each in two different orientations?

I'd avoid grinding up the gearbox. If you can't get it tight, it's not that big of a deal to drop the motor (easy for me to say!).
