Yet Another Shameless Gallery Plug

For those of you with pictures posted in my lovely, swanky 911 Gallery, I thought I'd post a note letting you know that some of the weird problems have been fixed (database errors and whatnot). Everything seems to work now as advertised.

For those of you without pictures posted, well, why not break out that shiny new digital camera you got for the holidays, and take some photos of your lovely car (and self) and get them posted at the Gallery. It's free, it's fun, it's even great for your libido.

Never got that new camera I wanted but have a bunch of stunning stills of the Porsche. Do you have a scanner? If so I would be delighted to mail you a few to add to the gallery. How do I edit my profile by the way? Its too long and it all did not make it in.

Don't have a digital camera either but I do have a scanner. I will take some pics to post as soon as the wheels get back on the ground. If all goes well that should be tomorrow!

how about including a section for the 924/944/928/968 and race car guys . all i can provide is a pictue of the 911 i ~almost~ got (and gladly would buy again if another deal like that came up)

Hey Mark - first, thanks for your effort putting this together. Very nice. I have a question. Can you use pictures loaded on Photopoint, and how do you do it? Thanks.

You could always goto photopoint, save as, and upload it to mark's site...I know I'm stating the obvious here, but that's what I did since I signed from work and didn't have my .jpgs handy.

I've installed Internet Explorer 5 just to view this page. I've got mixed feelings about IE5, but the site is great!

A suggestion for a 'sort order' would be by date modified, so that you can see what's been added or changed since your last visit. Also, I see that you've made the 'home page' field clickable. Are there plans to do the same for the email addresses?

I like Jack's idea. Perhaps you could list the cars by year, and then have another link that would allow upgrades or improvements on the car according to the date they were performed.

My picture posts are coming, I just have to find a digital camera and clean up the car to look its best. I also have seats that are currently in the box and not in the car.

Brain, I get them too. When I look, it seems like people had failed uploads. I can't really do much about it other than say "delete those bad pics, and re-upload them."

Jack: I'll make the email address clickable *right now*. I keep forgetting!

Keep the suggestions coming on how to best sort. So far I'll be implementing for sure:

- by year
- by owner's name (lastname, firstname)
- by model (later, once we become the P-Car Owner's Gallery)
- newest update

Any others? I'll make it happen. This is fun *and* great resume fodder!

the only thing i can think of is starting an "other cars" section. there are people here that post in this section simply because the other ones don;'t get as much traffic. we also have some people that are looking for advice before they buy a 911, and would like to show people what they currently have.

I have a real funny MPeg which you would all appreciate (not porn- sorry) any ideas how this could be uploaded either here or somewhere for you to view?
PS the gallery is great. I reduced the photo file size to increase speed of opening and hope others will as it does not seem to effect resolution greatly. Keep up the good work!
