Where the heck does this go??

I noticed what sounds like an air leak coming from the engine last week. (makes my car sound like a turbo)

I was snooping around back there and I noticed an hose not attached. I'm guessing this could be the source of the leak. That said I have no idea where to reattach it and what it is for.

This is my second question today. I hope things don't happen in threes!

The hose in question...

The other end of the hose should plug into a bell looking thing above and to the left of the oil cap. If still plugged in there, the end in the picture goes behind the airbox ant if I remember correctly, to the back of the MAS.

BTW, while looking back there, I decided to give a twist to one of my intake nuts and to my surprise, it turned. So far I have found three more that are loose...

Looks a lot like the hose that goes to the inside of the wheel well, where you find it connected to the fuel evaporator cannistor, to the front of the oil filter.

Man, I cannot figure out where this darn hose goes. I looked behind the airox and didn't find anything, 99% sure it doesn't go in the well well because the hose is pretty clean.

I took the airbox off to give me more room to look...still nothing though. I know someone here has to know. If I had 2 cars I could just play follow the hose.

Another pic...

Hi,

I decided to take a closer look for you and followed my hose.... I was tugging very lightly, so I could see where it was going and heh, mine was disconnected too. I must have forgot to put it back last time I had the air box equip out.

Anyway, here are two pictures of where it goes. Hope it helps.

Dave

Ok, here are the pics...

Dave, you are the man! Thank you a ton. I would never have found that and even if I did I wouldn't guess something attached to it. Who knows what that tube does, all I care is that my car sounds like it used to.

thanks,

Dan
