Broken 964 Rear Engine mount?

My friend sent me pictures if his C4 which looks like the left rear engine mount broke. Is this possible or does it look like some other issue? If it is the engine mount, seems to me to be a very severe failure mode. I can see replacing early engine mounts with a slight engine drop but can replacement be achieved on a 964 in the same way or are we looking at a complete engine drop?

Thanks!

The crossmember can break in a shear cut. Mine did, once.

I suppose you could also lose any of the four bolts.
