M&K is on Part 2 - video/sound clips

This was probably the funnest ride home I have ever had! The grin factor has now been amplified. Can't imagine what it will be like with the euro premuffler added to the mix. Very throaty... enjoy the clips...

Sounds great. I may have to switch mine out. I'm running a stock muffler with a second outlet cut in the right side and no cat. Its loud and very deep without the cat. Deep enough to set off my FJ's car alarm along with others. But to me seems to sound like there is just a hole in the muffler which I guess I could say there is but at least its intended. The M&K gives it a nice raspy sound. Plus I believe it is lighter than the stock muffler. I'd like to hear a dual out M&K since I already have the cutouts on both sides.

Post a sound clip without the cat. Should be a deeper sound.

I will try to post a better and longer video clip tomorrow. Had to use a piece of crap camera tonight, but had to post something - too stoked!

About the weight, not that it hasn't been mentioned before, but when you hold them together, it is amazing how light the M&K is (9 lbs on my scale). I will weight the stock Bishoff tomorrow if someone else doesn't post it first.

This is my car with no muffler, just stock cat - the sound does not do it justice - it is LOUD!

Sounds awesome!! What is it about the M&K that makes us do goofy videos? Not bashing you V8 - I did one too when I got mine on - funny!

V8, I weighed my stock muffler (1987) two years ago during the rebuild and got 30 pounds. Replacing it would be a nice weight loss for not that much money. Plus its a significant number of pounds hanging off the backend. I'd suggest the same program to my wife of 37 years but probably get hit. Besides she's looking just as good as the 911 for all these years on both of them.

V8, just wait until you get that sound destroying cat out of there and a pre muffler in front of that M & K. I did mine just before storing it last fall and children and pets ran from the sound as I approached.

Actually, it very much reminds me of the throaty rasp of the Porsches at Road America when I was younger. And the cabin noise is really not bad at all.

I can't wait for driving season to start here but my neighbors probably can.
