Mounting New Style Head Unit in Midyear Glove Box

Anyone have pictures or details of mounting a new headunit in a glove box? I am thinking of putting it there to leave the original 70's Becker Europa II in the stock location for originality.

I'd prefer not cutting up my cardboard glove box as it is in perfect condition but maybe there is a clever solution I haven't thought of yet? Pictures especially appreciated,

Right now I am thinking of some kind of board set shallow in the stock glove box, a "prop" of some sort for the rear of the headunit and covering the face of the board with a suitable colored carpet or material of some kind. Other ideas?
Thanks Dan
