Center Armrest?

I know, I know, if these cars were meant to have center armrests the good Doctor would have put them in to begin with. But I"m an old daily 911 driver and would like a center armrest. Is there anything out there that actually works and looks descent?

I have one of these:
http://birdautomotive.com/Armrests.htm

and I have one of these:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2007485/c-10101/Nty-1/p-2007485/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10101/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=center+arm+rest

The bird one is way better in quality, but the JC Whitney one sure has a good price.

Good Luck!

I have the JC Whitney one and I love it. You definately cannot beat the price. I never actually fixed it to the floor so it is only stuck between the seats so I can take it out whenever I want. It fits perfect.

I affixed my JC one to the floor. I had some angle alum laying around. Cut it to length and mounted the arm rest to that. I had to bend the sides to allow the seats to be able to be pushed forward. But it turned out pretty good. However, the top broke the first day I had it and had to put some extra screws in the back to hold it together. Not noticeable, but a little disappointing. Oh well, what can you expect for 40. bucks.

I pulled out the screws and used adhesive to keep the JC Whitney one in one piece. Cheap construction, but it can be made to do the job.

jack,
I got it and it is in the car. I was thinking to mouting it permnently but found that it will be hard to move/fold the seat so I leave it alone. Yeah, cheap quality, not as good as OEM include fitting but better than nothing.
Thanks.

Quick question on the JC Whit ey one. My interior are being redone very soon. Is this thing made so I could have my upholsterer recover it in matching vinyl when I have the door panels done soon? Or is it made in such a way that it would not be able to be done?

I shipped out the last 2 remaining arm rests for free, just pay the shipping. Sadly only one of the people recieving the arm rest has paid the shipping charges. This however will not stop me from doing a good deed once in a while.

What? You are giving them for free + shipping but someone would "forget" your shipping fee?

I will confess here... I am the guilty party. Jerry has been more than patient with me. Too much on my platter and I just honestly forgot, even though I had good intentions. I just sent Jerry a PM to see if we can handle it with paypal instead and I will pay the extra for the fees, or I will definitely send it out first thing in the morning.

Jerry, you have been a real class act in doing this in a round-a-bout fashion (not exposing me publicly here) and I really appreciate that. I just felt I should own up to it, and put the pressure on myself to make time to get this done one way or another tomorrow.

Thanks again Jerry, and sorry once again to have drug it out so long. It was not intentional.
