New ducktail questions
I was hoping someone might help id the manufacturer of this ducktail I just bought from someone off the board here. He did not know.
I have attached pics below. Also, the hinge mounts due have threaded metal pieces imbedded behind the mounting area. Not sure if they are just nuts or what at this point. Thanks for any help. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Could be any one of several manufacturers. For a comparison here is the underside of my GT Racing tail. Hope yours fits better than mine did. I had to do some serious work to get things to line up.

Yeah, they look close to the same. I was wondering if there might be some subtle mold design differences on the underside that might be able to distinguish.
I will get a rough fit idea Firday night and let you know.

GT Racing makes some real crap. I don't know whether their molds are worn out or if they just don't care.

And they make some very nice stuff as well and are easy to deal with. Bumpers and hood on my car come to mind as have the exchanges I have done with Hank on parts I decided not to use. Most fiber glass is intended as a race part not as a cosmetic replacement for the steel that came on your Porsche. If you know that and plan accordingly you'll be less dissappointed. |
