Heated Seats - Problems...help Needed

Hi,
I have just purchased a pair of second hand heated leather seats for my 993.
They look in great condition and are the same as the ones I already have but with that extra heating option...

However, on installation today I found a few problems.

Firstly, the heating on neither seat comes on - the fore and aft movements are all working OK. I have checked the 993 manual and I seem to be following instructions OK. Are there fuses that may need replacing or something else?

Secondly, on the driver's seat - it is at quite an upright setting - I cannot seem to get it to go into a slightly reclining position even on the maximum electronic movement it is still too upright to drive comfortably. I'm raising the levers on the top of the seat and pushing back but it will not go that extra few inches as the three other seats do.

Any ideas guys?
