Changing to Header system

Hi, i was thinking of buying headers and flow muffler don't use heater summer driven. I have a 1980 911sc with sock exhaust.Where i live we have to pass Aircare once a year. Would it be a pain, as too getting bolts unscrewed from old exhaust( i would take it to my porsche mech. to have them removed first since they haven't been off the engine in 9 years) and putting new ones in after? i mean once the old ones are out wouldn't it be easier every year to swap exhaust systems since the bolts are aways taken out and put back in or do i still have the risk of them being rusted on and break, i would use lots of lube. product of coarse to keep it from rusting up and do the swap myself after the first time my Mech. had taken them off. thx.

I would think that a yearly exhaust swap-over is a doable thing. I'm currently converting my 80 SC to SSIs and a M&K 2in/1out system and removing the stock exhaust system was not that difficult.

Do you also have to swap out oil lines when you go to headers? If so > then the complexity of the swap just got a bit larger... I know with the SSIs Ihave to use a different oil line configuration. don't know if that's the same with headers
