please help with window issue

I hear that you can put a 993 windshield in an early chassis. In this case a 1972. The issue is you need to use a 993 window gasket....I thought that there was just one gasket, but there apparently is an inner and an outer. can anyone shed some light on this for me? Has anyone done this??

thanks!!
andy

Andy - use the gray search button at the bottom RH of the main page to find a bunch of threads on not being able to do various combinations with 964 glass.

I'm sure 993 glass would not work. But there are some magicians with sheet metal and welding around here, so who knows.

Andy,
You are putting 993 glass in a 73 chasis not 964 glass. The 993 has iner and outer gasket I think it is the same size as a 88 and back winndshield. Does any one know if this is correct.
