reassemblying CV joints
I took apart my CV joints to clean them... and am having trouble getting them back again. Don't want to use too much force. I have tried putting the inner holder on the axle, then pushed the ball bearings into the openings, then tried to get the outer ring onto all this. No luck. Any better methods?
I am starting to regret taking them apart about now.

well you gotta get dirty... put it all together outside the car, put it on the half axle, put the clip on and install in the car.
That's how I did it anyway , dropped the whole half axle and did it on the bench.
