Need help with this vaccum line
Anyone recognize the vaccum line in the center of the picture on an 1987? Changed rear shocks recently and must have pulled this loose. Can't find where the end with the golf tee plug goes.
Was at DerkPitt's on Wed doing a little fan recon when we found it. We checked his car ... ...this line, along with the T-fitting on the other end do not exist on his 1998 (correction: 1988). Thanks! ![]()

Mark, that's 1988.
The large line is there, but not the T-fitting. And I want my golf tee back. LOL.

I'll just guess based on my '85 that it's connected to the fuel pressure regulator at the front end of that side injector rail.
If so the other end would connect to passenger side regulator or the reverse. I looked at one diagram and the two hoses from the regulators go to a T which perhaps goes to throttle body. Is only a guess. |

Cruise control. The gold colored thing in the above pic by the shock tower.

If the cruise control is vacuum powered, two hoses are connected to it:
(1) A skinny one that goes T's into a approximately 1/2" vacuum line (2) A fatter one (~15mm outside diameter) that goes to nowhere - it's a vent. On mine it was shoved into a hole in the body. -Chris

Where is the other end connected? One of the cruise control lines is open to the atmosphere.
Vacuum has one c and two u's. someone told me it's the only only word in eng. lang. that has a double u. |

Problem solved! It was the cruise but my orig picture cropped the location of the top end. Was over at Carnutzzz's (yes, 3 z's)yesterday looking at his 1987 and we found the connection point on the top end hiding directly behind the larger vacuum line at 12:00 o'clock (inside the Carmine Red box).
Thanks! ![]()
