Druk Press Problem?
folks why is the druk pressure jumpimg? i have 1983 car with 84 3.2L engine. anything to do with that? is there a write up on this
please help regards

If the guage is jumping while driving there are several possible reasons. There could be a loose wire or loose ground connection. There could be a bad sender. You could have too low of an oil level and be sucking air into the oil pump.

BTW, 'Druk' means 'Pressure' in German, so you're being redundant in 2 languages... |

I know sir, jumping when engine starts, and staying above 140
when RPM at 800. where it should be at about 40-60 psi

yes, be a little more clear/detailed about your symptom. Andy has probably hit the nail on the head, but it's hard to say for sure since it's not 100% clear what you are experiencing.

When the needle pegs high like you describe the usual problem is a loose/broken wire causing an open circuit.

thanks Andy. i will try ckng. the wires, the wires are from 3.2L
Carrera, and my car is 83 SC. where there is a 6 pin connector and lot's of ground wires is where i saw the problem. will tell you the outcome regards

Actually, "druck" means pressure in German. "Druk" doesn't mean anything in any language.

I just went through this on my '85.
I had a jumping needle and then it would peg at high end of 5. I replaced the sender without actually testing anything (dumb ol' me). That was a PITA. I still had the jumping needle. At first I thought my grounds on the gauge were bad. My ground was going to the oil temperature gauge and I found I had an open circuit from the ground on the pressure gauge to the guage backing plate. OK - long story short. Where the individual gauges (oil pressure, and oil temperature gauge) ground to the gauge backing plate had corroded. I cleaned these up with some 600 sand paper. I put the grounding wire on the oil pressure gauge and now it works as expected! I would pull the connector from your pressure sender and see if it bounces around on startup with ohms to ground using a mechanical VOM. If it is nice and smooth, then check the grounds on the gauges. Good luck.
