PMO, TBitz, and Recurving Dizzy

Two years ago I installed the tbitz kit. Last fall I upgraded my engine with cams, bigger P&C (98mm 9:8.1) from 3.0sc to 3.2SS.

I am looking to sell my TBITZ kit in favor of PMOs. As such I will need to sort out ignition. I am (was) also on the path to twin plugging. (I had started collecting EDIS parts for the Megasquirt and my heads have been twin plugged).

With PMOs I need to recurve my dizzy. That alone will cost about $500. For $1500 I can get a dual plug dizzy from Supertec (I assume). Along with that I would need 2 MSDs/coils,etc.

I gather my options are:

- recurve my dizzy for $500 but later when dual plugging replace it
- bite the bullet and get the new dual dizzy
- don't recurve but use msd timing computer, but that adds $250+.

Any opinions? One option I'm not that keen on is electronic ignition as I really want to avoid electrical issues. I'm tired of working on electronic tuning and just want to drive the car!

Do some searching on the 911 tech forum as well as on the engine rebuild forum on the subject, but IMHO you don't really need twin plugs with 9.8:1 compression on a 3.2.

alphie,

My 3.2SS (98mm Mahle sport pistons with ~9.8:1 CR) gets along fine on 91 octane pump gas with single ignition. I would recommend Jerry Woods Enterprises to recurve the distributor.
