Lightbulb Headlight stalk problem- won't flash

Hi guys,

I've got a problem with my headlight stalk. All other functions work, except the high beam flash.

The contacts on the stalk are all in the correct position as per this post:
turn signal switch quick fix pictures

and this picture from the post:

I'm thinking it's a problem with the stalk itself. Any chance i can open it up and fix it?

Anybody have any other ideas?

Thanks a lot,
Adam

Others have reported that they have opened the switch and cleaned and repositioned the contacts. I don't think it's worth the hassle...I simply replaced my switch when I had similar sypmtoms.

can you try blasting it out with an electronics cleaner aerosol?

then check the price in Aussie-landia to see if it's worth your labor...

That's a troublesome unit. I simply changed mine out when it started malfunctioning.

I've had success in the past with bending contacts,

But this time it's not working. Looks like i'll have to find another stalk...

You should eliminate the problem with relays that bypass the stalk switch for your headlights.
