Mid TN Fun Run #2 - 5/19/07!!! - we're going to see the Tubs in Nashville
Mr. Moderator, please replace the old Mid TN Fun Run Sticky with this one if not too much trouble. Thanks!
Well, the #2 Fun Run will be this Saturday, 5/19/07. Weather forecast is MUCHO better for this Saturday at sunny and 80 degrees. Let's make this a big turnout day and have some fun. We have decided to drive to Nashville and attend the Tennessee Tubs event going on in Kingston Springs. Email me if you want to meet up at the Kingston Springs exit before driving to the farm where the event is to be held. vanweys@charter.net.

You MUST go to the Cal Turner event. It is open to all.
Many non-356 folks will be on hand. The group from Huntsville is leaving at 8am sharp. I'm gonna try my best to keep the day freed up so I can go but it's closing in on me.

Well, that sounds convincing enough for me. I say we make this Fun Run a trip to see the tubs. Anyone here able to post more info about the event? Anyone want to caravan out from west TN and meet up with some of the mid Tennessean's in the Nashville area somewhere, maybe at the Bellevue exit?

You might get more participation if you could announce these a bit further out. I have considered meeting up with you guys, but I need more than 4 days notice!

Kurt,
We have been saying (on the list) that we are going to try to do these every 2nd Saturday weather permitting). I had been posting the the one for 5/12/07 for almost 3 weeks, maybe longer. We had to reschedule last weeks due to the weather report not looking so good. Sorry you missed it. Hope you can join us for one. We would like to do one up into the Ozarks one time as well. Maybe then. Send me a pm with your email, and I will add you to that distribution list. SV

OK gang… Sorry this week’s plans have been a little on the dynamic side, but I think the change to the TN Tubs event will be worth it. Can’t please everyone, so here is what I am doing tomorrow morning. If you want to tag along with the plan, great! If not, drive safe and see you there! I am leaving Jackson at 8:30am. I am stopping in Buffalo (exit 143) at about 9:30am to meet up with David Bailey and anyone else who wants to meet there. Then, we should get to exit 188 (Kingston Springs) about 10:15-10:30am. We can meet there with anyone coming from the Nashville area who wants to at the Petro Station I guess. And then from there, we can caravan to “the farm”.
Anyone wanting to leave from Jackson at 8:30, we can meet at the Home Depot if you want. The next drive will be easier logistically, as we will be going to the same place to drive again, so bear with us on this one guys. Look forward to meeting some more of you and seeing some nice vintage Porsche. Please reply and let me know if your final plans include any of this. And finally, I have a favor to ask. I have to leave and will not be at a computer until much later tonight probably. Can one or some of you, please update the posts on Rennlist and PelicanParts with this final game plan? I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys, and see you all tomorrow! Shane Van Wey POSTED for Shane by David Bailey........See ya at Cal's David

The Huntsville group will be coming up the back roads from the south, through Franklin and then east and north to Brush Creek Rd.
My schedule is screwed. I have a commitment south of Boaz at 1pm so if I go to the show I'll have to leave around 10am. It's about a 1.5hr drive from H'ville to Franklin ..........
