Another 72T

Jack Olsen

Here's another 72t clone owned by an Olsen, coincidence!

Wayne thanks for your book. I'm going with the 3.0 liter upgrade. Both yours and Jack's cars looked great in my issue of Classic Motorsports.

Sweet! Aubergine and a duck. I hope your future plans include reversing the rear reflector mod back to the early car panel.

It's aubergine, the original color. I really like black, had a 65 Corvette cpe for a long time in black. When I first bought this car I was going to paint it black but the aubergine just grew on me.

I've been trying to come up with some color combination for some stripping but haven't seen anything that goes with aubergine.

Nope I like the 74 vintage rear look. I like the RS look but everyone has an RS clone and they all look similar.

I grew up in the 60's when cars where customized with parts from different models or makes. Hence the rearview mirrors from a Cobra.

Sweet car Kent! I have always liked certain yellows with purples. But it has to be the right yellow... I dig the mirrors too. I might try the yellow on your painted portions of the wheels to for a different look...

silver stripes look great- Porsche side stripes
if you want to give it more attitude than that, pull the bumper decos and put 1" wide silver tape stripes in their place as well

nice looking car!

I live in south Albany just a couple miles from hwy 34. I fly out of EUG about every 10 days. Will have to meet one day for lunch and compare notes.

You've done the name proud, Kent. That color is great.

No go to the VTK site and sign your 'four-door' 911 up with the registry.

Whats the deal with VTK? I registered a long time ago but nothing happened. The VTK thread has been inactive for years but people were volunteering to update the site. I hope it happens!

Again back when I grew up we customized cars and built "Sleepers".

I think that's what I'm leaning toward with this car. I don't want the big fender flares and huge tires that give away what this car will do. My weight is down to about 2020 and it's all about pwr/weight.

I remember a 993 that passed me one day with a smile except as he accelerated that little old 911 was still right there in his mirror until we both realized the freeway was not a good place to do that.

Another big MB 500 tried to out drag me on a back road in Fl one time and he also got a big surprise.

Old guys and there toys, ha ha!!

Kent,
Very nice car. Watch out for Randy, don't let him lead you to the slippery slope.
By the way the color is Lilac, a rare and cool color.

Aubergine.
