911R mock up
Hi all,
I'm looking for some help on the layout of the front air duct cut out in the fender of a 911R replica. I have included some pics of my current mock up. The white contact paper is the area to be cut. I laid this out using known R pics, and using the amber turn signal lens as a unit of measure. Any feedback/comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

the amber signal is further from the camera so to do proper photogrammetry you'd have to correct for that and for lens distortion....
How close do you want it?

I'm not looking for perfect, but I would like it to be close enough so it does not to draw attention to that one particular detail.

you could calculate the distortion or...
back way far away and use a long telephoto lens centered between the two - that will "compress distance" and reduce that type of distortion - should be plenty good enough also Dave B. / TRE may know the exact sizing - search for his recent thread

Matt's car is the one we are trying to get the correct details for ! The duct is looking very close to correct - hard to be perfect when its pictures / lens choice/ distortion in the mix thanks Randy
