Do NOT use DAS. They were great a few years ago, but something seems to have happened with them. I am having terrible service from them right now trying to get a 914 from Houston to Charlotte.

Drive it! One long day, but cheaper and the car hasn't left your possession.

I've transported a couple cars cross country and had good luck with 'Gold Rush' 800-896-0008.
Other companies I've heard good things about; Intercity: 800-221-3936 Horseless Carriage: 800-631-7796 Exotic Car Transport: 800-766-8797 Express Auto Transport: 800-405-0914 These are all enclosed trailers so they will be a little more price, but it is peace of mind. Call and get quotes. Stay away from the 'brokers'!! Also FedEx took over a transport company so you can check with them, at least they can be trusted.

DAS is mostly a broker now.....they are only as good as the bozos they contract with.
InterCity for the high end wipe yer butt service. On the drive it yerself option....that's an easy one....enjoy the cruise.

Ive used Intercity several times and find them to be top notch. They have moved cars and bikes acorss the country for me.

Driver

I used Intercity (for the Porsche) last month. No problems, no games. Coast-to-coast in 1 week. Intercity owns their own trucks. Enclosed transport all the way. Same driver goes the entire trip. I had his cellphone number. They charged $1950, I think.
I've used DAS for my daily drivers twice. One time was flawless. The other time they lost my car and it took me 5 weeks to get it coast-to-coast. They may or may not own their trucks. Open transport. They basically take your money, and contract with trucks to carry the car to your destination. If the price they offer the local truckers is deemed too low by the truckers, your car sits until a trucker is willing to take your car at that price. So it may sit (and sit, as in my case). Their online tracking does not work, BTW, as they had my car erroneously listed as delivered. I couldn't get anyone on the telephone, either. And any damage that occurs (a couple minor scratches and cracked wheel centercap) will be pretty difficult to assign responsibility for. DAS charged about $1400-1500, IIRC. IMHO: you get what you pay for. I know who I'm using again in the future.
