Spark Plugs ????
I was just doing the time consuming process of changing the spark plugs on my 89 c4.
I noticed that the brands were different. Would this, or could this do harm to the engine? BTW, the plugs were single platinum EKG and triple platinum Bosch. Thanks in advance.

I doubt the engine is smart enough to know the difference without the advanced electronics of todays modern cars.
I'm not even certain there is a trouble code for miss matched plug brands... Last edited by stlrj; 05-28-2007 at 07:30 AM.. |

As long as the heat range, reach, etc. of the plug is the same ..not a problem.

if one plug produce more fire than the other, your car will pulsate. Or maybe one side go faster than other other
 j/k
