Philippe,

Whenever you have a question on Porsche Electronics, chances are that "Early_S_man" has already answered it. Do a search with him as the "User name" and the terms you need to find out about.

Using coil and ohms, you will find this post:

Bad Coil?

This should have your answer.

What is the problem you are having?

Hi Phillipe,

Lorenfb posted this on another thread (Do I need to replace my CDI box?). It should help you with your troubleshooting:

Loren sez:

"The diagnosis of this problem should take at most 5 minutes:

1. Get ANY known good ignition coil.
2. Make sure that the center pin of the CD box has a good +12 volts.
3. Make sure that the CD box case has a good ground.
4. Connect one terminal of the known good coil to the CD box output.
5. Ground the other coil lead.
6. Momentarily ground the pickup lead to CD box which will produce
a spark each time. Make sure nothing else (points, special pickups)
are NOT connected.

It's that simple!

Check here for additional info & specs (coil & etc.):
