Good call! How much did it cost in the end? Would love to do that but would need to do it to a couple of cars...

If you use the remote display, where does the main detector go?

The main detector still needs a front and rear view, so it usually stays in the same place. It goes dark when the remote display is used, though.

That is very cool but I would say that it is more like an 8 on a difficult scale of 1-10.

I haven't done it yet, Joe, but it's definitely been added to my long list of "Things I'd Like To Do!" It doesn't look like too expensive a job though.

As far as hooking it up for several cars, the remote usint is only $40.00, so you could buy one for each car and run the poawer cable to an adapter under, or at the bottom ov your dash. Then, you just need to move the V-1 from car to car and plug it into the under-dash jack.

I think it looks great, but the fact that the main unit still has to be displayed is still the main issue for me.

I got a ticket on 1/1 and she noticed the radar detector (somewhat of a challenge to her) so concelling that is important as well.

I moved mine to this location as well. Here's a thread on how to wire up the unit to be as "stealth as possible" in a Targa. Probably work better in a coupe.

How about smashing out the seat belt warning light and putting it in there?

On your (newer) car that hole will be just about the right size - it's 2x as tall as on the old cars.

Just thought I'd mention that my wife's V1 saved me a ticket yesterday. I normally don't use one, but I bought her one since she gets tickets. I was in her car going through East Texas at a rather high rate of speed after clearing a pack of slower cars when it went off. I'd be bummed at getting a ticket, but I'd really be embarrassed getting busted after working through the slower pack .

That is so cool. My Bel 980 has been dying slowly and I need some motivation to pull the trigger on a V1.
