K & N AIR FILTERS...
David,
Maybe your old filter was well over due for replacing... What is the consensus on the K & N Filter? Does it improve the engine performance, or just cheaper to clean and re-use for the long haul? Thanks,

Incidentally, My SC does have a K&N, put on by the PO and, even though my SC only has 194k miles on it and runs OH SO SWEET, I'm going to take my chances with COMPROMISED MOTOR LOGEVITY! and am going to keep using it - NO MATTER WHAT Charles Keiffner says!!!!

what is the advantage of the cone vs. the flat filter aside from the pesky backside latch on the OEM airbox, that is a PITA? interested in a pound or so weight savings removing airbox. where did you get the adapter and how much?
