'87 3.2 spark plug recommendation??
Looking for advice of which plugs to get? Any recommendations for my '87 3.2L?
Thanks. |

I'm going to give you the short answer (but go ahead and read that link too): NGK BPR6ES is a great choice for your 3.2 but Boschs would be fine too. Forget about trying anything other than copper plugs.

Same as Keith: NGK BPR6ES

I use Bosch platinum 4 #4477

Thanks to all for your feedback.
I took the advice to get the NGK BPR6ES plugs and installed them. What a difference! I first noticed how quickly the car fired up. When it settled down, it became very apparent that the idle was smoother. The car also seems to be more responsive. When I pulled my other plugs out, I noticed that two of the six had a much smaller gap than the recommended gap of .028. Not sure how/why... this could have been the cause for a slightly rougher idle, not sure? It's hard to believe that such a small change can make such a big difference! Again, thanks for advice. |
