Newb question: bitz EFI to TWM ITB's
Just curious, If you happened to have a Bitz racing EFI kit, can you use Most of the parts if you decide to go with TWM ITB's?
I ask because i would Love to do a TWM conversion but i would rather buy a Bitz kit first because of price, Drive and enjoy the car and eventually buy the TWM ITB's when i have the funds. Im just fed up with CIS...

i think that makes sense. almost everything in the bitz kit would be used when swapping out to the TWMs. the fuel rails may not bolt to the TWMs but replacing those is not that expensive. the bitz kit does not come with the relay board which is not nessesary but recommended. to give you an idea i spent about $3200 for my megasquirt and TWM setup with everything. if you take the $1700 for the bitz kit and add the $900 for TWMs, $300 for manifolds, $300 for air cleaners and $50 for fuel rails your at $3250 total.
also you might be happy with just the bitz kit, the TWMs really work best with hot cams, not sure they will make a huge difference with a stock engine. -matt

yes, you can go this route pretty easily. The only thing I can think of having to change would be the addition of a TPS and O2 sensor. Just make sure these wires are not cut or removed from the DB37 connector. Even if they are it is easy to resolder them back.
I agree with Matt. I think you will be h appy with just EFI on the CIS intake. It will really depend on the ultimate goal for the engine. I chose ITBs since I will be building an engine with way more cam than the CIS intake can handle. Plus I thought that development on a stock engine would be a little simpler. I would suggest that you read all you can about setting up a MS system. I hear Tony is great for problem solving but it will be easier to troubleshoot with your own background knowledge. Get your Son involved. If he likes things electrical or mechanical than designing the EFI paramters could be a great learning experience. The other option would be to build your own system and assemble it on the car. Its fairly easy to make the wiring harness and connect all the sensors. You could buy the CIS-EFI adapters and fuel rails from Tony. I am pretty sure he sells these separately. YOu will likely have about $600 just for the MS box (prebuilt), injectors (used) and a wiring harness. Going this route almost leaves enough money for the TWMs. ![]()

Thanks guys. By the way Jamie, This is Jeff (the son), My dad rarely ever post on here LOL. I have been the one doing all the work on the car and have been asking all the questions on here, My dad has just been waiting patiently so he could drive the car...lol.
I have read your thread front to back Jamie for a while, Your post is what sparked me to ask the question since you have this set up on a stock 3.0. I want the TWM's because it looks more "porsche" and im sure it sounds great ![]() -Jeff
