1982 911SC Rear Mods to fit 9.5", 10" etc. wheels

Hey guys! I'm looking for help on making the correct mods to my 911SC to fit a 10" size or bigger wheel on the rears. What mods or changes will I need to make? Also how big can I run on the fronts and what mods would I need to go bigger there as well? I will be widening this body probably just wanted to get an idea of what I'm looking at! Thanks so much!

I'm not sure a 10" wheel can be fit but in my travels of wheel/tire fitment I am confident a 275 rear rubber can be massaged in there.

First places to start planning mods, fender rolling and moving oil lines in the RR fender well.

There is other info that can be found in searching threads to figure everything out 100%.

To fit 10" wheels back there you'll need to cut off the SC flares and go to 930 bodywork.
17x9 with 255/40-17 fits without mods
17x9 with 295/35-17 Hoosier R6 needs the alignment bolts on the spring plates modified for room.
Any 9.5" wheel will need the same spring plate mods and the oil lines replace with the Elephant high routed lines of custom lines. And even then the offset of the 9.5' wheel would have to be just about perfect to not rub the fenders
In 30 years of driving these cars I've never seen a 10" wheel fit without body work changes.

10" x 17" rears by HRE (8x16 o.e. fronts); stock 930 steel flares. Car is an '81 SC...

Have you tried a search? These topics have been discussed repeatedly in the past

short answer
8ET25-31 w/ 225-245 tire the wider the tire the shorter it wants to be
9.5ET19 w/255/40x17 no mods, w/ 275 /40 mods to trailing arm bolts, oil line and lips

My Carrera RS clone with RS flares (similar to SC flares) ran Fikse custom offset wheels.
8.5 x 17" in the front with 245's and 10 x 17" in the rear with 275's.
The backspacing on these wheels were dialed in/custom.
Fordahl Motorsports came up with the wheel specs for this installation.

Fender lip rolling, moving the oil lines a bit in the rear wheel well, shaving a bolt or two on the trailing arms, good amount of neg camber front & rear....and it can be done.

Not what I would call a "bolt on" maneuver though.
You've got to work at it to get them to fit.

Im running 18x10's (with adapters) on stock sc rear fenders, I have modified them by cutting the fender lip to it fit, not lowered, does not rub at all. Problem is I do not know the off offset of my rims since its been a while, sorry but I will check
