Stijn,
A 904 rod has the parting surface on the big end machined serrated. The (early) 911 is flat machined. I can’t tell from the image. Best, Grady

Grady ,machine serrated?
from dictionary.com numismatics. (of a coin) having a grooved edge to make serrate or serrated: He serrated the knives so they would cut meat easily. does this mean, the surface where the 2 halves of the big-end mate, are grooved? does that apply for both the 904-4 and 904-6 rods??
