CV boot question

I am about to take off my axle and replace the boots on my '88. My buddy says he has a kit he bought a while back I can have but it is for an "84.

I see there are differences on the catalog site, are they interchangeable or is just the kit different? Can I still just use the boot and clamps from the "84 kit??

Thanks!

if the diameter is right, and the bolt holes are there... then i don't see any problem...

I think it depends on what models the '84 and '88 are. But I think it's unlikely., possibly with turbo's/look-alike.
