I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with putting 15mm hubcentric spacers/adapters using stock wheel studs and fuchs and possibly run into clearance issues. I could take off my wheel and measure but quick answers are always good.
Thanks ![]()

Depends on what size wheels and tires you have.
Why not bolt up one corner and see what happens? |

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear. My question only has to do with the wheel bolting up to the car without the back of the wheel hitting the studs. Tire clearance on the body is not the problem. My car is a 1984 carrera with stock wheel studs.

Would not the Factory studs fall in the middle of the hollow Fuch pedal?

What Akila said...the "back of the wheel" will sit flush against the front face of the spacer. The wheel will use the spacer's studs ( as if it were the original studs) and the original studs will pass through the "holes" of the spacer.
You will use nuts ( supplied with the spacer ?) on the original studs that *should* be flush ( or undercut) the front face of the spacer. That way..everything should fit ( outside of the tire clearance issue which you say is OK). - Wil

Thanks guys,
That's what I'm hoping will happen, I'm just not sure if since it's only a 15mm spacer; that the studs wont hit the hollow back of the petal.(maybe only 1mm or 2) If they were 1" I wouldn't have a second thought. I did a search and read a thread where someone said that the 15mm didn't work. I dont know what type of spacer they used. Is there anyone that has used these exact ones with stock fuchs with no problem?

Some 15mm do not work because the bolts on the spacer are too long. I believe I read that thread and the guy bought them off Ebay, so it all depends. Only way to be sure is to try them. Good luck!
I had some on an earlier car and it was no problem. |

I was the guy who bought them off of eBay and they did not work. There was not enough clearance and the studs made contact with the back of the wheel. If you already have them try them out and have someone ride behind you to see if your wheels wobble. If not, I don't suggest buying them.

Doug,
Did yours look just like these? I know it doesn't really matter 'cause 15mm is 15mm; but just curious. Also, were your wheels stock fuchs?

I have 15 mm bolt on spacers from Boothe Design on the Targa for 15" 7R Fuchs and they work perfectly.
http://www.boothedesign.com/spacers.html BTW, I have a pair of 18 mm unused bolt on spacers that I will never use. Anyone interested in them?

I have 15mm hub-centric spacers (adapters) on the rear of my 911R-inspired car with 7R rims - no problems whatsoever.

Matt- Sorry for the late response. The adapters I had were the style pictured and they did not work for me on 7 inch Fuchs.
